DePaul Set to Face Marquette

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons, currently 11-13 (3-9 BIG EAST) on the season, are set to travel to Marquette for a 7 p.m. contest Friday, Nov. 8 before hosting the Golden Eagles Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

"These matches are what makes summer workouts and all of the hard work when no one is watching easy," said head coach Marie Zidek. "Marquette has put together a banner year that is the result of the past decade of program building by the department and staff. This year has been one of their on the backs of their core leadership group in Speckman, Konovodoff, Barber, Orf and Werch. With the addition of transfers Jones and Lines, they really are one of the more complete teams in the country right now offensively and defensively that's competed well. That said, our group is ready for this test. We look forward to big moments and every opportunity equally. Practices have been great, and we look forward for the chance to play them twice this weekend. Really excited about the improvement and progress this group has made, and we will keep putting ourselves in competitive points, sets, and matches."

SERIES AGAINST MARQUETTE
DePaul sits in a 28-34 deficit against the Golden Eagles and has dropped the last 16 contests between the two with the most recent being a three set loss 0-3 (7-25, 16-25, 14-25) in 2018.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Marquette is currently 21-3 (11-1 BIG EAST) on the season and sits second in the league. The Golden Eagles have topped two ranked opponents this season in #9 Brigham Young and #4 Wisconsin. Marquette's lone BIG EAST lost came in a five set contest against Creighton.Â
