DePaul Hosts Texas Tech in BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle

Blue Demons and Red Raiders square off in series between conferences
CHICAGO – The Blue Demons look for their ninth straight win to open the 2019-20 season as DePaul hosts Texas Tech on Wednesday as part of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle. Start time at Wintrust Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. A win would give DePaul just the eighth start of 9-0 in program history.
Wednesday's game can be seen on FS1 with Tim Brando (play-by-play) and Bill Raftery (analyst) handling the broadcast duties. The game can be seen online through the FOX Sports app and website. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Jeff Blanzy (analyst) can be heard on WIND (560 AM) and online on DePaul All-Access at depaulbluedemons.com/live. Texas Tech is 5-2 overall this season and receiving votes in both national polls following an 83-76 loss against Creighton at the Las Vegas Invitational on Friday. DePaul stands at 8-0 and is also receiving votes in the top 25s following Friday's 73-68 win at Minnesota.
First Edition of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle: In a scheduling agreement between the BIG EAST and Big 12 Conferences, 10 games will be played from Dec. 4-22 between programs from both leagues.
The matchups were jointly determined and include four games that were previously scheduled. The home school will have the right to determine the venue of its game. Broadcast rights of the games will be determined by the conference national television rights agreement of the home team. The Big 12 television rights are controlled by ESPN and the BIG EAST's men's basketball television rights are controlled by FOX Sports.
The four-year agreement will continue through 2022-23 with an equal number of games played in each conference's home market each year.
