
Women's Tennis Heads to Courtside Classic

Blue Demons open Saturday against Colorado at event hosted by Minnesota
CHICAGO – Coach Mark Ardizzone and his Blue Demons will be serving for their third win in a row when they take the court at 2 p.m. Saturday against Colorado.
They have the second match of the Courtside Classic hosted by Minnesota with the Golden Gophers squaring off against Montana at 10 a.m. All matches take place at the Baseline Tennis Center.
On Sunday, the two losing teams will compete at 9 a.m. with the two winners to follow at noon.
DePaul (2-2) swept their first two matches of BIG EAST competition last weekend with a 4-3 victory over Georgetown and a 7-0 triumph over Butler.
BIG EAST Athlete of the Week Keisha Clousing, Aspasia Avgeri, Marija Jovicic, Alina Kuzmenkova and Maddie Yergler come into this weekend with 2-2 records in dual-season singles competition.
In doubles, the tandem of Lenka Antonijevic/Clousing is 3-1, Milica Tesic/Yergler is 2-0 and Avgeri/Jovicic is 1-0.
Colorado opened its dual season last week and split its first two matches, falling to Air Force 4-3 before bouncing back with a 7-0 win over Montana State.
Montana comes in 0-3 with a pair of losses to Washington State and one to Michigan State by identical 7-0 scores.
The Gophers opened their season with a 4-0 loss to No. 8 UCLA and then recovered quickly with a 4-1 decision over No. 41 Florida International.
