Clousing and Jovicic Earn Points for DePaul

MINNEAPOLIS - The DePaul women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Minnesota on the final day of the Courtside Classic Sunday afternoon at the Baseline Tennis Center.

The Gophers (3-1) captured the crown of the two-day, four team Classic with the victory, while the Blue Demons took home second.

DePaul (3-3) was led in singles by continued dominant play by senior Keisha Clousing and a gritty performance by sophomore Marija Jovicic.

Clousing extended her win streak to four matches at the No. 1 position with a 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Tina Kreinis. Jovicic won her third match out of her last four with her 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 decision over Caitlyn Merzbacher at No. 4.

Coach Mark Ardizzone's squad returns to competition next Saturday in Iowa City, Iowa. to take on Iowa at 2 p.m. CT.
