DePaul Hosts Central Michigan Wednesday in Lincoln Park in Round One of CBI

Tickets on sale Monday morning for Wednesday's game at McGrath-Phillips Arena
CHICAGO – DePaul has been selected as one of 16 teams to play in the 2019 Roman College Basketball Invitational and is set to host Central Michigan in the first round. The game will be played at McGrath-Phillips Arena on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Ticket to the general public will go on sale on Monday at 10 a.m. CT.
The Blue Demons enter the CBI at 15-15 and are led by the senior trio of Eli Cain, Femi Olujobi and Max Strus. Strus leads the team with 18.8 points per game while Cain averaged 13.2 per game and Olujobi holds a scoring average of 13.0. Sophomore Paul Reed – the BIG EAST's Most Improved Player Award winner – averages 11.1 points and a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game.
Central Michigan stands at 23-11 this season and went 10-8 in the Mid-American Conference. The Chippawas average just over 82 points per game and are led by Larry Austin at 17.4 points per game and Shawn Roundtree with a scoring average of 16.6 per outing.
The CBI is DePaul's first postseason appearance since the Blue Demons reached the quarterfinals of the 2007 NIT. The Blue Demons also opened that tournament with a game at McGrath-Phillips Arena that saw DePaul post an 83-71 win over Hofstra.
Tickets for Wednesday's game at McGrath-Phillips Arena are $15 for adults and $10 for youth (under age 18) and DePaul students can reserve tickets at CampusConnect. General public tickets sales begin at 10 a.m. CT on Monday through the DePaul ticket office and can be purchased either online at www.depaulbluedemons.com/tickets or by calling the ticket office at (773) 325-SLAM. In-person ticket purchases can be made at the DePaul ticket office in Lincoln Park at the Sullivan Athletics Center (2323 N. Sheffield Avenue).
A presale opportunity for 2018-19 DePaul basketball season ticket holders will be made available prior to the general public sale. Season ticket holders will receive a special access code via email Sunday night and the season ticket holder presale will be valid until tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 18.
