DePaul Drops Game One at St. John's

CHICAGO, Ill. – DePaul dropped the first of a three-game series at St. John's by a difference of 5-1. DePaul's record drops to 29-10 (8-2 BIG EAST) and St. John's improves to 23-16 (11-1 BIG EAST).
DePaul was the first to strike as Gabby O'Riley singled in the top of the second and advanced on a sac bunt from Skylor Hilger. With two outs in the frame, Alysia Rodriguez slammed out a deep single to round O'Riley home.
St. John's brought in its next four runs scattered throughout the second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings and held DePaul to take the first game of the series.
The second game of the doubleheader will begin shortly.
