Right-handed pitcher owned a 1.24 ERA in 3-1 week for Blue Demons
CHICAGO – DePaul softball right-handed pitcher Kelly Greene earned BIG EAST Honor Roll honors after leading the Blue Demons to a 3-1 record last week, including a victory over crosstown foe UIC and a pair of wins at Seton Hall.
The senior from Palos Heights, Ill., went 2-1 across three starts and posted a staff-best 1.24 ERA in 11.1 innings of work. Greene allowed just two runs, and of the 10 hits she surrendered, only one went for extra bases. She went the distance in DePaul's first shutout of the season, a 6-0 win over the Pirates on Saturday to secure the series.
Greene and the Blue Demons enter their final home stretch of the season with four games remaining at Cacciatore Stadium, beginning with a matchup against Illinois State on Tuesday, April 21 at 3 p.m. DePaul then welcomes Butler for a three-game set April 24-26. Admission is free for all fans.
