ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Regardless of some strong hits and scoring opportunities, the Blue Demons struggled to bring in a run, resulting in a 3-0 loss against JMU Saturday at Alumni Field.
DePaul finishes the 2019 season with a record of 35-16 and took home the BIG EAST tournament championship for the third-consecutive year, the first year under the authority of Tracie Adix-Zins.
James Madison got on board first with a solo home run in the first stanza of play and scored the next run of the game in the top of the fifth on another solo shot.
The top of the sixth would see yet another solo home run from the Dukes to grow their lead to 3-0.
The Blue Demons loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh with two outs but could not bring in a run.
