DePaul Hosts Two More BIG EAST Competitors

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons will cap off a nine-match home streak with two more BIG EAST contests this weekend at McGrath-Phillips Arena. DePaul will host St. John's this Friday in a 7 p.m. CT match and Seton Hall Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.Â
SERIES AGAINST ST. JOHN'S
DePaul sits in a 5-17 deficit in the series against the Red Storm and has lost the last three contests between the two.
SCOUTING THE RED STORM
St. John's is currently sixth in the BIG EAST standings and is 8-5 on the season. The Red Storm opened their season going 0-3 at the Hawaiin Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic, where they fell to No. 13 Washington, Hawaii and No. 21 San Diego. SJU then went on a 4-0 run in contests against New Jersey Institute of Technology, Canisius, Columbia and Howard before dropping a lone contest against Hofstra. In the last two weekends, the Red Storm went 2-1 in Home2Suites Tallahassee Seminole Invitational and 2-0 in the Hofstra Invitational, taking down No. 14 Oregon and Duke.

The Blue Demons have won one of 20 contests against the Pirates, with the last five meetings resulting in losses for DePaul.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Seton Hall is currently 5-9 after going 0-5 to open the season. The Pirates picked up their first win against Binghamton in the Seton Hall Classic and then dropped to Northeastern to cap off the invitational. Seton Hall then topped Iona in a lone three-set contest and went 1-2 in the Akron Invitational and 2-1 in the George Mason Invitational.Â
