PEORIA, Ill. - Despite a loss earlier in the day, the Blue Demons fought hard for their first CEFCU Invitational victory 3-1 (27-25, 21-15, 25-21, 25-18) Friday evening over Belmont.Â
FROM ZIDEK
"Great response this afternoon against a great defensive team," said head coach Marie Zidek. "It was a true team effort. Just about everybody has been asked to contribute in match roles and everybody else has stayed hungry. This team is fun to coach and we look forward to a matchup with Bradley tomorrow."
