Blue Demons and Bluejays meet at Wintrust Arena at 8 p.m Wednesday

CHICAGO – DePaul continues its three-game homestand over an eight-day stretch with a Wednesday night game against Creighton. Start time at Wintrust Arena is set for 8 p.m. The homestand opened last Saturday with a 79-66 win over No. 5/5 Butler. A Saturday afternoon game against St. John's this weekend concludes the three-game run in the South Loop.

Wednesday's game can be seen on CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan (play-by-play) and Steve Wolff (analyst) handling the broadcast duties. The game can also be seen online at cbssports.com. Creighton is 14-5 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST following a 78-74 win against Providence on Saturday. DePaul stands at 13-5 and 1-4 in league play after the 13-point win over fifth-ranked Butler on Saturday.

DePaul's last win over a top five team was on Dec. 2, 2006 when the Blue Demons defeated No. 5/5 Kansas, 64-57, at Allstate Arena... the win was also the first for DePaul at Wintrust Arena over a ranked opponent.
The 44 points in the first half are the most in the first half since scoring 53 at Iowa on Nov. 11.
Paul Reed recorded his fourth 20-point game of the season (10th career)... Reed moved into a tie for fifth on the program's all-time blocked shots list... his 121 career rejections are tied with Jeff Stern (1990-92).

The Opponent – Creighton Bluejays: Creighton stands at 14-5 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST... the Bluejays have dopped three of their last five games, but knocked off Providence, 78-74, on Saturday... Marcus Zegarowski leads the team with 16.7 points per game and 91 three-pointers... Ty-Shon Alexander adds a scoring average of 16.3 with a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game... head coach Greg McDermott is in his 10th season at Creighton... DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is 0-8 all-time against Creighton.

The Series: Wednesday is the 37th all-time meeting between the two programs... the Bluejays leads the series, 20-16... Creighton has won 10 straight games including both matchups as season ago... the Bluejays posted a 79-67 decision in Chicago before a 91-78 win in Omaha... DePaul's last win the series was a 70-60 victory on Jan. 7, 2015 in Omaha.
