Blue Demons look for first road win in conference play
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer travels north to Milwaukee to square off with the Marquette Golden Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 16. The Blue Demons (6-5-1, 2-2-1 BIG EAST) and Golden Eagles (5-6-1, 2-3-1) will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night and the match will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by SoFi.
Saturday's match will be pivotal in the BIG EAST standings with the Blue Demons and Golden Eagles tied at seven points apiece. The teams are currently tied for fifth-place in the conference at the midway point of the Blue Demons' BIG EAST slate.
Marquette leads the all-time series with a 29-6-1 record against DePaul. The Blue Demons will be searching for their first win against Marquette since 2017. The Blue Demons have not won on the road against the Golden Eagles since 2006.
The last time out, the Blue Demons were unable to find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss against Seton Hall. The match, which was delayed in the second half due to severe weather, was decided on an 80th minute goal by the Pirates.
DePaul will be searching for its first road win in conference action this fall. The DePaul attack will need to supplement the stingy Blue Demon defense that has allowed multiple goals in only one conference contest, a 3-1 loss to then-No. 1 Georgetown.
