Turner Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Turner's first-half hat trick led the Blue Demons past Villanova
CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer forward Morgan Turner was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll as announced by the conference on Monday. Turner posted a hat trick in the Blue Demons 3-2 win over Villanova on Sunday afternoon.
Turner, who now leads the Blue Demons with seven goals this season, scored three times in the first 30 minutes on Sunday afternoon. Her hat trick was the second of her career and Turner moved into fourth place all-time on the DePaul program goal leaderboard. Turner now has 29 career goals during her time in Lincoln Park.
Turner's three first-half goals put the Blue Demons in front 3-0 heading into the break. The Blue Demons were able to hold off the Wildcats to win their first conference victory of the season, claiming the match 3-2. Turner is now tied for third in the BIG EAST in the scoring category this fall and has tallied all three of DePaul's goals in BIG EAST play. The graduate student's recognition on the honor roll is her second this season.
