Iscra Named to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

The senior defender scored a pair of goals last week
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer senior Timmy Iscra was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Iscra received the honor after earning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Iscra scored a pair of goals for the Blue Demons last week, both coming in key DePaul conference victories. On Wednesday, March 10 against Xavier, Iscra scored on a header that came off of a free kick in the 61st minute. The score tied the game at two and the Blue Demons went on to win in overtime, 3-2.
On Saturday in Lincoln Park, Iscra headed home another crucial goal. Iscra scored the game-winning tally against Creighton in the 77th minute. Iscra headed home a corner kick at the back post that was sent in by Omar Ramadan. Iscra has now scored four career goals and has notched scores in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.Â
DePaul returns to action on Saturday in a matchup against Butler at 11:00am CT at Wish Field. The Blue Demons are looking to avenge a 5-0 defeat that came in the BIG EAST opener in Indianapolis back on Wednesday, March 3.Â
