Krista Dalgarn Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior pitcher earns her fifth conference honor this season
NEW YORK – Senior pitcher Krista Dalgarn has been selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. In 2021, Dalgarn has earned two Pitcher of the Week certificates to go along with three Honor Roll designations.
Dalgarn went 2-0 on the weekend in the circle and recorded an ERA of .81 in eight and two thirds' innings of work. In Friday's extra innings victory over UIC, the Orange, Calif. native entered in relief in the top of the 10th and retired five of the eight batters she faced including a pair of strikeouts. In her last contest at Cacciatore Stadium, Dalgarn threw a complete-game and struck out two in DePaul's 4-1 victory.
On the season, Dalgarn has an ERA of 2.84 and holds a 13-2 record in 25 appearances. In nearly 104 innings of work, Dalgarn has struck out 76 batters.
The Blue Demons are the No. 1 seed in this weekend's BIG EAST Tournament and will meet four-seeded Butler in first round action on Thursday, May 13 at 11 a.m. CT. on the campus of University of Connecticut.
