
Softball Announces Fall Competition Dates

Blue Demons to play eight games across four weekends
CHICAGO – DePaul softball head coach Tracie Adix-Zins announced on Tuesday afternoon the 2021 fall schedule.
The Blue Demons are set to play eight total contests across four dates in September and October including two games played at Cacciatore Stadium.
DePaul will open the fall slate at home with Iowa State traveling to Chicago on Sunday, Sept. 19 for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
On Sunday, Sept. 26 the Blue Demons will travel to Madison to face Wisconsin for a doubleheader with first pitch set for Noon. DePaul alumna Yvette Healy enters her 12th season at the helm of the Badgers program while fellow Blue Demon standout Kirsten Verdun begins her seventh season on Healy's staff.
Adix-Zins and Co. will make the short trip to Evanston on Saturday, Oct. 2 for a doubleheader at Northwestern before closing out the fall slate with a trip to Northern Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 10 for a pair of games against the Huskies and Danville Area Community College.
The Blue Demons are coming off a 25-11 season in the spring of 2021 including a 13-1 record in BIG EAST play en route to a regular season title. 17 letter winners return from last year's squad including five All-BIG EAST selections led by First Team honoree Natalie Halvorson and Defensive Player of the Year Maranda Gutierrez. Five newcomers begin their careers in Lincoln Park including graduate transfer pitcher Sarah Lehman alongside freshman Addison Talbot, Carly Alvers, Anna Wohlers and Baylee Cosgrove.
