Carbone and Perova continue with strong doubles play
EAST LANSING, Mich. - The DePaul women's tennis team continued competition on day two of the Spartan Invite in East Lansing, Mich.
Continuing play in the Izzo Flight, Eleanor Nobbs and Maddie Yergler fell in doubles play to Tia Mukherjee / Dagmar Zdrubecka from the host school, Michigan State, 6-4.
In the Izzo Singles competition, Hannah Smith defeated Dagmar Zdrubecka from Michigan State, 6-0, 6-3. Eleanor Nobbs lost to Tia Mukherjee from Michigan State, 6-4, 6-4.
In the Tuck Comin' Flight, the Blue Demons had Greta Carbon and Mayya Perova play in doubles for the second straight day. Carbone and Perova defeated YSU's Julia Marko and Cecilia Rosas, 6-2.
Valentina Martin competed in the Tuck Comin' singles competition, falling to YSU's Julia Marko, 6-3, 6-3. Mayya Perova also competed, but was defeated to YSU's Cecilia Rosas, 6-3, 6-2.
The Blue Demons will be back in action for the final day of action at the Spartan Invite.
