CHICAGO – The DePaul men's basketball team returns home to host Texas A&M as the Blue Demons look to get back on track following a pair of close games last week at the Baha Mar Bahamas Championships. The game is slated for a 12 p.m. CT tip on FS1 with Matt Schumacker and Lavall Jordan on the call.
Tickets are available for a discounted rate here through Thursday, Nov. 25 at 11:59 p.m. with the code DEMONS.
Despite being shorthanded, DePaul (3-2) overcame a pair of double-digit deficits against Santa Clara and Oklahoma State to get within striking distance against both opponents. The Blue Demons were led in The Bahamas by Eral Penn, who earned All-Tournament honors after being the only player to average a double-double. Penn capped off the tournament with a 25 point, 11 rebound performance against the Cowboys. He enters Friday's game ranking top-25 nationally in offensive rebounds.
THE SERIES
Friday marks just the second all-time meeting between the two programs, and first in 17 years. The lone series contest came March 19, 2005 in the NIT where DePaul hosted the Aggies at AllState Arena. Texas A&M took that contest, 75-72, despite squandering a 20-point lead in the second half.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M
Texas A&M (3-2) has already made an appearance in the AP Top-25 poll this season, being ranked No. 24 last week. The Aggies had a 1-2 showing at the Myrtle Beach Invitational, dropping a pair of contests to Murray State and Colorado.
As a team, the Aggies average 77.0 points per game and are led by Wade Taylor IV. Taylor IV is the only A&M player averaging double-digit scoring at 14.2 points per game.
Head Coach Buzz Williams is in his fourth season in College Station, holding a 53-38 record which included an appearance in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship Title Game last season. A previous coach at Marquette, Williams will make his 10th career appearance on the sidelines against DePaul but first inside of Wintrust Arena.

DePaul closes out November at home as they host Samford, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. C.T. The game will be broadcast on FS2. Season tickets and single-game tickets for remaining games can be purchased at DePaulBlueDemons.com/Tickets.
