Blue Demons back home April 2 to face Creighton at XS Tennis
LOS ANGELES – Coach Marisa Arce and her team likely will not face another opponent like No. 17 Loyola Marymount this season.
The Blue Demons gave it their best shot Tuesday in a 4-0 setback to a 9-1 national power that has won eight in a row---five against nationally ranked teams.
The day started out on a positive note as the doubles team of Valentina Martin and Eleanor Nobbs gave their team a head-start to the doubles point with a 6-3 victory over LMU's Eva Marie Voracek and Ulyana Shirokova.
But the Lions responded winning the next two matches to clinch the doubles point.
The host team which had taken down No. 4 UCLA earlier in the dual-match season maintained the early momentum and swept the first three singles matches in securing the win.
The Blue Demons (5-5) are back home April 2 at XS Tennis Village to take on BIG EAST adversary Creighton.
