DePaul Softball Team GPA Ranks Seventh in Division I

Blue Demons record a cumulative GPA of 3.682 to rank among the best in the nation
CHICAGO – DePaul softball was recognized for its excellence in the classroom on Monday afternoon as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced All-America Scholar Athlete distinctions as well as Team GPA rankings from the 2021-2022 academic year.
The Blue Demons ranked seventh amongst Division I programs with a cumulative GPA of 3.682. DePaul led all BIG EAST members in academic achievement with Butler, Connecticut, Creighton, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova also earning team recognition with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
18 student-athletes earned NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete distinction for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher in the latest academic year. The 2021-22 honorees include Carly Alvers, Baylee Cosgrove, Grace Frazier, Maranda Gutierrez, Skylor Hilger, Brooke Johnson, Sarah Lehman, Payton Lundberg, Tori Meyer, Gabby O'Riley, Kate Polucha, Riley Pool, Ariana Rodriguez, Nicole Sullivan, Addison Talbot, Anna Wohlers and Taylor Young.
DePaul finished the 2022 season 29-24 and 16-8 in conference action. The Blue Demons qualified for postseason play for the 16th-consecutive season and saw six student-athletes earn All-BIG EAST honors.
