Blue Demons and Pirates kick off at 1 p.m. at Wish Field
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer welcomes Seton Hall to Wish Field on Saturday, Oct. 21 for its penultimate match of the regular season. First touch is scheduled for 1 p.m. with coverage airing on Marquee Sports Network and FloFC.

Setting the Scene
- DePaul is searching for its first conference victory on the campaign after drawing its last two matches and sitting 2-7-4 on the season and 0-4-2 in league play.
- On Wednesday, the Blue Demons earned a draw on the road at Marquette after scoring the game's first three goals in the first 45 and ultimately surrendering three unanswered from the Golden Eagles.
- DePaul's last match saw a pair of freshmen fill up the scoresheet with Noeh Hernandez converting a penalty and Liam Mullins bagging a brace with the next two goals.
- Hernandez and Mullins lead the offensive output for the Blue Demons this season with three goals apiece. Hernandez has two assists to pace the program in points with eight.
- Christian Baumgartner and Marek Gonda are tied for the team-lead with three assist each.
- Center backs Ethan Gordon and Grant Herbek have anchored the back line in front of goalkeeper Gandhi Cruz all season long, logging 1,170 and 1,080 minutes respectively. Gordon's 27 blocked shots on the season leads Division I.
- Cruz leads the nation in saves per game (6.15) while ranking second in total saves (80).
- The Pirates enter Saturday's showdown 7-4-3 and 2-3-1 in BIG EAST action.
- Last time out, Seton Hall dropped a 3-0 decision at St. John's on Wednesday evening.
- SHU is winless on the road in 2023, posting a 0-3-2 mark away from the Garden State.
- Fifth-year senior Andrea Borg paces the Pirates with 16 points including five goals and six assists. Classmate James Boote has been an aggressor on the front line for The Hall netting four goals and collecting four assists.
- Goalkeeper Mats Roorda has started 12 matches on the season making 45 saves and has four clean sheets to his credit.
- Andreas Lindberg is in his sixth season leading the Pirates.
- The Pirates own the all-time series 5-4-3.
- A season ago, the teams battled to a scoreless draw in South Orange, N.J.
- The Blue Demons last win at home against the Pirates was a 2-1 decision in October of 2016.
