Anwar Remains Undefeated Heading Into Day Three at ND Invite

The Band of Brothers dominates Saturday competition
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – It was an impressive day at the office for DePaul men's tennis, as they notched six wins in eight matches. The Blue Demons weekend win total sits at ten.
Elias Anwar continues to shine as he, along with his doubles partner, Sven Moser, claimed victories in both of their matches on Saturday. The outstanding duo posted two straight-set singles wins, with Anwar beating Drew Evans of WMU, 6-0, 6-3, and Moser sweeping Notre Dame's Xander Ekstrand, 6-1, 6-4.
In the first round of doubles, juniors Jona Gitschel and Matteo Iaquinto captured a victory against Jackson Boone and Ferdinand Schluter of WMU by a score of 6-4. Additionally, Iaquinto prevailed in his tiebreaker singles match against Kyran Magimay of ND, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(6).
Day three at the Bobby Bayliss Invitational will be back indoors at the Eck Tennis Pavilion, with just one round of singles beginning at 9:00 A.M. CT.
