DePaul Faces San Francisco Sunday

GLENDALE, ARIZ. – The DePaul men's basketball team has a quick turnaround for a Sunday afternoon matchup against San Francisco. The Blue Demons will tip at 3:30 CT against the 'Dons on CBS Sports Network. The radio broadcast with Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will be available on DePaulBlueDemons.com.
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul (1-3) nearly closed out a second-half comeback Friday evening against South Carolina, where the Gamecocks (4-0) ultimately came away with a 73-68 win. Chico Carter Jr. had a season-high 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
With a variety of offensive options, DePaul has five total players averaging double-digit scoring. Carter Jr. has a team-high 14.5 points per game, followed by 12.3 from Jeremiah Oden. Another double-digit scorer for DePaul, Caleb Murphy, has been extremely consistent from the floor. Murphy is shooting 75 percent on the season (15-of-20) and is 10-of-13 at the free throw line.
K.T. Raimey has opened up the season with tremendous consistency from three-point range, leading the BIG EAST in three-point percentage. Raimey is shooting 50.0 percent from deep and averaging 2.8 made threes per game.
THE SERIES
DePaul and San Francisco are set for the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs. The 'Dons own the all-time record, 4-2. Sunday will be the first meeting between the programs in over 30 years, as DePaul won the last meeting between the two, 91-61 (Dec. 12, 1992).
SCOUTING SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco (2-2) comes into Sunday's matchup following two-consecutive losses, including a narrow defeat in the opening round of the Arizona tipoff against Grand Canyon. The 'Dons are in their second season under head coach Chris Gerlufsen and are searching for their seventh 20-win season in the last eight years.
As a team, San Francisco ranks 21st nationally in assists per game (19.5) and 29th in field goal percentage (.596). Johnathan Mogbo ranks fifth nationally with a 79.4 field goal percentage and is averaging 15.0 points per game.
