Women’s Tennis Rounds Out 2023 Fall Slate at Spartan Invite

EAST LANSING, Mich – DePaul women's tennis will close out the 2023 fall competition schedule, Nov. 3-5, at the Spartan Invite hosted at the Michigan State Indoor Tennis Facility.

DePaul is one of six teams in the field including the host Spartans, Ball State, Butler, Gonzaga and Toledo. The weekend tournament will be played in a hidden dual format.

Last time the Blue Demons took to the court, Greta Carbone and Hannah Smith surged to the quarterfinal round of the ITA Midwest Regionals in doubles action. Smith alongside freshman Sasha Stula played themselves into the main singles draw, while Eleanor Nobbs earned DePaul's automatic qualification.

After a two-month reprieve from competition, the Blue Demons will begin dual play on Jan. 12 with a match at Florida Gulf Coast. In the first of two trips to the Sunshine State in January and February, DePaul will also face off against Florida International on Jan. 15.
