Jake Fuderer Signs With Chicago Fire FC II

Fuderer joins Chicago's MLS NEXT Pro team
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer graduate defender Jake Fuderer has signed a contract with the Chicago Fire FC II, an MLS Next Pro team. His contract runs through the 2023 season and includes a Club option for 2024.
"We're all proud of Jake for making his dream become a reality," said head coach Mark Plotkin. "He showed tremendous growth as a player and person over the course of his career and we are so excited to follow him this season. He showed a level of consistency year after year in the Big East and know he is prepared for this opportunity. We know his best days are ahead of him, it's an amazing accomplishment for Jake and his family. "
Fuderer played in 75 games with 72 starts throughout his Blue Demon career. He sits in 16th for career total points with 21, and finished his career with 15 total assists, good for eighth in program history. He led the team in scoring twice (2019, 22). In 2022, he tallied four goals and nine total points and logged 1398 minutes on the pitch.
Fuderer earned All-BIG EAST honors three times in his career in Lincoln Park, as well as being named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3, 2022. Fuderer hails from Glenview, Ill. and graduated from Glenbrook South. He played for FC United Developmental Academy.

Launched in March 2022 by Major League Soccer, MLS NEXT Pro is a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada that completes the pro player pathway from MLS NEXT, the youth academies associated with MLS, through to MLS, the top U.S. domestic league.
