Men’s Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

Blue Demons host nine home matches at Wish Field
CHICAGO - The DePaul men's soccer 2023 schedule was officially announced Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Demons are set to host nine home regular season matchups at Wish Field, alongside one exhibition match.
With the addition of Akron as an affiliate BIG EAST member for men's soccer at the beginning of the 2023 season, the conference has split into two regional divisions. Each member institution will play eight conference games, five within their own division and three from the other division. The Blue Demons fall into the Midwest Division, alongside Akron, Butler, Creighton, Marquette and Xavier.
Fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2023 squad in an exhibition match on Aug. 12 against Detroit Mercy at 3 p.m. The Blue Demons will host the University of Illinois Springfield for their final home exhibition match before meeting Milwaukee for a road exhibition on Aug. 19.
DePaul's regular-season action kicks off Aug. 24 against Lindenwood. The Blue Demons then head on the road, where they will face the 2022 NCAA Championship Runner-Ups, Indiana, on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. CT.
BIG EAST play begins on Sept. 15 when DePaul hits the road to take on Xavier. The Blue Demons will also travel to three other conference opponents during the season, including Providence on Sept. 29 and Marquette on Oct. 18. DePaul heads to Akron on Oct. 7 for the schools first-ever matchup.
Home conference play begins with a matchup against Creighton on Sept. 23, who made the College Cup Semifinal during the 2022 season. The Blue Demons also host Butler on Oct. 14, welcome Seton Hall to Lincoln Park on Oct. 21 and conclude the regular season Oct. 28 against Villanova.
The Blue Demons are slated to take on four Illinois schools, with three Chicagoland rivals, throughout the season. Labor Day weekend kicks off with a matchup against Bradley on Sept. 1 and wraps up with a visit from Northwestern on Sept. 4. The Red Line Rivalry against Loyola-Chicago returns to Wish Field on Sept. 19. The Blue Demons local slate wraps up on Oct. 4 against UIC.
DePaul returns 20 letterwinners from last season, including two graduate students and four seniors. Nine newcomers have been welcomed into the fold which includes two transfers.
