
Softball Signs Michigan State Transfer Bibianna Rodriguez

Rodriguez joins Blue Demons after one season with Spartans
CHICAGO - DePaul softball head coach Tracie Adix-Zins announced the signing of Bibianna "Bibi" Rodriguez, Thursday, July 20. Rodriguez, a native of Victorville, Calif., comes to Lincoln Park after spending her freshman season at Michigan State.Â
"I'm very excited for Bibi to be joining the program," said Adix-Zins. "She brings a great deal of athleticism and competitiveness to our team, in addition to high-level Big Ten experience. I think she will be a great addition to our team."
While with the Spartans, Rodriguez appeared in 13 games where she had a .125 batting average and 1.000 fielding percentage. During her high school career at University Prep, Rodriguez was a three-time league champion and a 2021 All-State and All-CIF selection. Additionally, she was named team defensive MVP her junior and senior seasons. Rodriguez was also a member of the BSC Bengals travel team, coached under Ken Briggs.
Rodriguez also played basketball and volleyball during her time at University Prepatory, earning letters in both sports. She was a two time All-League selection for basketball and earned league offensive MVP honors in 2022.
"Everything comes to you at the right moment," said Rodriguez. "Be patient. Trust the bigger plan for your life."
Bibianna plans to major in Biology at DePaul.
