Blue Demons welcome Bradley to Wish Field for 3 p.m. match

CHICAGO -- DePaul men's soccer begins a two-match homestand on Friday, Sept. 1 with a matchup against Bradley at Wish Field. First touch is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT with coverage on FloFC.

Setting the Scene:

DePaul (1-1) looks to return to the win column after tangling with No. 10 Indiana on Tuesday night in Bloomington
Last week, the Blue Demons opened up the 2023 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Lindenwood behind a late goal from junior midfielder Callum Watts
- Watts landed on the season's first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday (8/28) for his game-winning heroics
The Blue Demons have shown their depth in the early going of the season, utilizing 18 players in each of their first two matches
Senior forward Marek Gonda made his 2023 debut against the Hoosiers, beginning his ramp up after a lingering preseason injury.
Starting goalkeeper Gandhi Cruz has made eight saves on 10 shots on goal through two matches.
Four Blue Demons have played all 180 minutes through the first week of the season including graduate students Grant Herbek and Michael Anderson alongside sophomore center back Ethan Gordon and Cruz.

A look at the Braves:

Bradley enters the match 1-0-1 on the young 2023 season.
Last time out, Bradley drew 0-0 with Kansas City after opening their campaign with a 2-1 win over Chicago State.
The Braves brought back 23 letterwinners from their 2022 squad while bringing in 10 newcomers.
A season ago, Bradley posted a 5-11-3 record while going 1-6-1 in Missouri Valley action.
Jim DeRose is in his 27th season leading the program in Peoria.

The Braves and Blue Demons meet for the 12th time on Friday afternoon.
DePaul won the last meeting between the two squads back in 2021, a 2-1 victory on the road.
