CHICAGO – The DePaul men's basketball team is set to host Seton Hall, Tuesday evening at Wintrust Arena. The game is slated for an 8 p.m. tip on FS1 with Matt Schumacker and Lavall Jordan on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio broadcast on DePaulBlueDemons.com.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
DePaul (3-17, 0-9 BIG EAST) is coming off back-to-back games against ranked opponents, #14 Marquette and #17 Creighton. The Blue Demons went toe-to-toe with Creighton in the first half of Saturday's game, before the Bluejays controlled the second half.
Elijah Fisher led DePaul against Creighton with 12 points, in addition to three players who recorded nine points – Jeremiah Oden, Jalen Terry and Jaden Henley. Terry has averaged double-digit points in his career against the Pirates including shooting 47.1 percent from three-point range. In the last meeting between the two teams, Terry went 4-of-4 from three-point range to help the Blue Demons to victory.
THE SERIES
Seton Hall leads the all-time series, 23-10, with a slim advantage of those games played in Chicago, 8-7. Of the 33 all-time meetings between the programs, 16 of them have been decided by five points or less, including the last five-consecutive games.
The Pirates took both regular season meetings last year before DePaul had the thrilling 66-65 win in the BIG EAST Tournament last season.
SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall (13-8, 6-4 BIG EAST) looks to snap a three-game skid, losing to Creighton, Marquette and Providence. The Pirates have been without their leading scorer, Kadary Richmond, for their last two games. Richardson is averaging 16.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
As a team, the Pirates rank seventh nationally with a 78.7 free throw percentage. Al-Amir Dawes leads Seton Hall and ranks 93.3 percent individually. Jaden Bediako leads the conference and is fifth nationally with 4.14 offensive rebounds per game.
