Santiago Davila Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

Blue Demon goalkeeper earns second weekly honor this season
CHICAGO – DePaul's Santiago Davila was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday afternoon after leading the Blue Demons to a shutout victory over Creighton last week.
Davila and the DePaul back line earned its second-straight clean sheet on Friday afternoon in a 2-0 win in Omaha. The Blue Demons weathered the storm, facing 23 Bluejay shot attempts and turning them away time and time again. The senior collected his second weekly honor this season after making five second-half saves against Creighton to help DePaul claim three points on the road.
In the last three outings, the Wauwatosa, Wis. native is 2-0-1 in net and has made 20 saves while allowing one goal in that span. For the season, Davila has made 41 saves and owns a .719 save percentage.

The Blue Demons return to Wish Field on Tuesday, Oct. 8 for their final non-conference contest of the 2024 campaign when Oakland visits Lincoln Park. Kick off is slated for 2 p.m.
