Blue Demons set for 15 games at Cacciatore Stadium
CHICAGO – DePaul Softball has released their 2025 schedule, as announced by head coach Liz Bouck-Jagielski Tuesday afternoon. The full schedule can be viewed online here.
"DePaul softball has been relentless in preparing for the upcoming season" said head coach Liz Bouck-Jagielski.
"We are strong, faster, and more mentally prepared than ever before. Our schedule is compiled of high-level competition that includes NCAA tournament teams and local rivals, to assist us in preparation for competing in the BIG EAST conference. We understand the task at hand and that is to win. Our ultimate goal is to win the BIG EAST conference and secure our place in the NCAA tournament."
DePaul will open in February, hosting the DePaul Dome Tournament in Rosemont, Illinois at The Dome at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex from Feb. 7-9. The Blue Demons will welcome Detroit, St. Thomas, Valparaiso, Green Bay, and Western Illinois as part of the three-day event.
The squad then takes the road for three consecutive tournaments, traveling to UT Martin, UNC Wilmington, and Jacksonville for 15 games over three weekends.
The Blue Demons continue their road swing to open their BIG EAST slate, facing Butler from March 7-9.
Opening weekend at Cacciatore Stadium is scheduled for March 14-16 against Seton Hall, followed by a midweek game against UIC at Flames Field. The Blue Demons then continue their stretch in Chicago, hosting Providence March 21-23, followed by a Tuesday and Wednesday pairing of Loyola Chicago and Valparaiso, respectively.
DePaul travels yet again to begin April, playing three games at St. John's from April 4-6, a single game against Notre Dame on April 8, and closing the seven-game road swing at Villanova April 11-13.
UIC travels to Cacciatore Stadium for another Tuesday cross-town matchup on April 15, and the Blue Demons host Connecticut April 18-19, with a doubleheader being played on Friday.
DePaul will travel to in-state opponent Illinois on April 22, before concluding the week with a final home series against Creighton April 25-27. The Creighton series will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2005 Women's College World Series team.
The regular season concludes with a road series against Georgetown, and the top six teams from the BIG EAST earn a berth to the conference tournament, May 7-10 in Storrs, Connecticut.
New this season, all regular season softball games at Cacciatore Stadium will offer free admission as part of a one-year pilot program. This initiative aims to make DePaul Athletics' events more accessible to students, faculty, staff, and local residents, fostering a stronger connection between the university and the surrounding Lincoln Park community. By offering free entry to all home games, DePaul softball hopes to promote school spirit, support for student-athletes, and a fun, inclusive atmosphere for everyone in the Lincoln Park community to enjoy.
DePaul's annual Dome Tournament, to be hosted in Rosemont, Ill. from February 7-9 will remain a ticketed event. Dome Tournament tickets will go on sale in January 2025.
