Demon Doings
DePaul is set to face its third top-10 opponent in a four-game span and is just one of two teams in the nation to have faced a trio of formidable foes through the first three weeks of the season.
Â
The Blue Demons opened the Ball Dawgs Classic with a setback against No. 8 Oklahoma, 85-62. Inside tandem of Jorie Allen and Meg Newman tallied 15 points apiece to lead the offense. It was Allen's sixth-straight performance of 15 or more points to open the season while Newman reached double figures for the third time in six games.
Â
Las Vegas native Charlece Ohiaeri totaled a career-high 12 points on the afternoon.
Â
DePaul posted the most rebounds by an Oklahoma opponent this season with 42 boards. Newman grabbed a team-high seven while Haley Walker collected six off the bench.  As a team, the Blue Demons  are averaging 14.3 offensive rebounds a game which is first in the BIG EAST.
Â
Kansas State Notes

Â
K-State was selected to win the Big 12 Conference in the preseason coaches' poll for the first time in program history after going 26-8 last season and advancing to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Â
Jeff Mittie is in his 11th season leading the program in Manhattan.
