DePaul Faces Off Against 21st-Ranked Creighton on Saturday

Blue Demons and Bluejays tipoff at 3pm on FloHoops
OMAHA, Neb. – DePaul women's basketball hits the road to take on No. 21 Creighton on Saturday afternoon inside DJ Sokol Arena. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. CST with the contest airing on FloHoops and the Women's Sports Network. Rob Simms and Josh Peterson will handle the call. Â

Noting the Blue Demons
Coming off a 12-point win over Providence on Wednesday, DePaul (12-13, 4-8 BIG EAST) looks to even the season series with No. 21 Creighton on Saturday.

Against the Friars, Peoples and Allen combined for 50 points on the outing with the Blue Demons 84 points marking the second-highest output against Providence on the season behind UConn's 85 points.

Graduate forward Brynn Masikewich returned to action for the first time since Jan. 13, making her second start of the season and posting a career-high 12 points to go with six rebounds. The Blue Demons shot 50-percent from the field on Wednesday, the highest field-goal percentage in any BIG EAST game this season.

Peoples ranks fifth in the league in points (18.1) and rebounds (7.8) while averaging 21.5 ppg in DePaul's last five games. She also leads the team in assists and blocks. Allen follows with 10.4 points and 6.6 boards a contest through 12 league games.

DePaul leads the conference in bench points (19.5 ppg), rebounds (39.0) and steals per game (10.2).

The 21st-ranked Bluejays have won nine in a row and are 19-3 on the season and 10-2 in league play after a lopsided win at Xavier on Tuesday.

A veteran group, Creighton is led by Emma Ronsiek's 17.8 points per game while Lauren Jensen (17.0 ppg) and Morgan Maly (14.8 ppg) follow closely behind.

The Bluejays are third in the BIG EAST in scoring offense, averaging 73.6 points per game while leadsing the conference in assist to turnover ratio, dishing out 17.7 assists per game to just 11.0 turnovers a contest.
Series Stuff
DePaul leads the all-time series 16-9. The Bluejays have won the last three meetings including a 72-65 victory at Wintrust Arena on Jan. 6.

In the first meeting this season, Allen posted a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double while Michelle Sidor and Peoples also finished in double figures.
