Blue Demons Ready for Texas Relays and Stanford Invitational

15 Blue Demons make the trek down south for the high-profile meet
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field prepares for the Texas Relays and the Stanford Invitational beginning tomorrow at 11 a.m. CT. 15 Blue Demons are set to make the trek south while Olivia Borowiak heads out west with both parties competing in the high-profile meets. Fans can watch the races and stay up to date with live results. Â
ÂBIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week, Billie Martin kicks off Thursday with the women's hammer throw at 11 a.m. Charlotte Anderson will follow with the women's javelin. Alex Bernstein, who was also named BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week alongside Martin, participates in the men's hammer throw at 2 p.m. Both Bernstein and Martin will arrive in Texas with new personal bests in the hammer throw from their successful outdoor opening weekends at UCF's Black and Gold Invite.Â
ÂFriday, the competition continues with the men's 4x100m relay prelims starring Darius Brown, Charles Lewis, Dominic Cole and Cameron Attucks. Brown competes again in the men's 110m hurdle prelims while Jetta Mays, Cole and Attucks prepare for their designated 100m race prelims. Brown currently holds the DePaul school record for the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.62.Â
ÂAt 12:45 p.m., the women's 4x400m relay takes place, featuring Kayliah Motes, Nadja Moll, Sonja Nagle and Clare Dunn. The men's 4x400m relay team, made up of this past indoor seasons' BIG EAST Champions, Brown, Daniel Fasasi, Lewis and Jarel Terry hit the stage at 1:10 p.m. Sophomore Jaiah Hopf rounds out Friday's competition with the women's triple jump at 3 p.m. Hopf currently holds DePaul's outdoor triple jump record with a mark of 12.59m.Â
Friday night, Olivia Borowiak flies out to compete in the women's 5000m race in the Stanford Invitational. The race is set for 9:56 p.m. CT. Fans can keep up with live results here.Â
Saturday, final rounds take place. The men's 4x100m relay team competes in the championship at 1:30 p.m. with Brown's 110m hurdle final following at 2:45 p.m.Â
ÂMays, Cole and Attucks compete in their respective 100m races then both the women's and men's 4x400m relay teams compete around 5 p.m. to close out the weekend-long competition.Â
