Blue Demons defense continues strong performance
CHICAGO - Despite a solid outing by starting pitcher Bella Nigey, DePaul softball fell, 3-0, against St. John's Saturday afternoon in the series finale.
Nigey (4-9) went the distance for her sixth complete game of the season, giving up three runs on five hits with one strikeout.
The Blue Demons defense looked strong throughout the day, making various game-saving plays including an out thrown from left field to home in the seventh inning.
