DePaul Hosts Final Home Game of Season

CHICAGO – The DePaul men's basketball team is set for its final home game of the 2023-24 season as they host St. John's, Tuesday, March 5. The game is slated for an 8 p.m. tip on FS1 with Matt Schumacker and Lavall Jordan on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio call on 670 The Score.
DePaul (3-26, 0-18 BIG EAST) most recently hosted Butler on Saturday where the Blue Demons fell, 82-63. The Blue Demons used its 10th different starting lineup of the season, as Elijah Fisher has the most starts for DePaul in 2023-24 with 27 games.
Against Butler, Jaden Henley led the Blue Demons in the scoring column for the sixth time this season with 15 points. Henley continues his strong stretch of games as he is averaging 13.6 points across his last eight games. Elijah Fisher has also been a strong scoring threat for DePaul as he enters Tuesday's game with six-consecutive double-digit scoring games.
St. John's (17-12, 9- 9 BIG EAST) is riding a stretch of three-consecutive wins, including over a top-25 Creighton team. The Red Storm sit in seventh place in the BIG EAST standings with a chance to earn a top-six seed at the conference tournament. The Red Storm ranks fifth nationally with 14.72 offensive rebounds per game and 11th with 5.4 blocks. Individually, Joel Soriano is averaging 14.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while Daniss Jenkins is currently the team's leading scorer with 14.5 points per game in addition to 5.6 assists.
The all-time series is led by St. John's, 32-22, including the last four meetings between the two programs. DePaul is 11-10 all-time at home against the Red Storm. St. John's won the first meeting this season between the programs, 85-57, where K.T. Raimey led DePaul with 11 points off the bench.
DePaul concludes the regular season Saturday, March 9, with an 8:30 p.m. CT tip on FS1 against Seton Hall. The Blue Demons will then prepare for the BIG EAST Tournament set to begin March 13.
