
168 DePaul Student-Athletes Earn BIG EAST All-Academic Honors

NEW YORK – For the 13th-straight year, over 150 DePaul student-athletes have been recognized by the BIG EAST conference for their academic performance. The BIG EAST announced the 2023-24 All-Academic Team, Monday morning, with 168 DePaul student-athletes earning the honor. The 168 honorees are the most since 2020-21 and marks 80 percent of all DePaul student-athletes to earn the honor.
Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and five affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 from the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
There are 3,136 honorees for the 2023-24 academic year. Affiliate student-athletes made up 189 of the honorees.
