Enriquez’s Late Goal Earns Draw for DePaul at St. Thomas

Late tally brings Blue Demons a point on the road
ST. PAUL, Minn. – DePaul men's soccer fought to earn a 1-1 draw against St. Thomas on Thursday afternoon at South Field. After falling behind by a goal 20 minutes into the match, the Blue Demons stayed the course and found the equalizer via senior midfielder Nathaniel Enriquez in the 82nd minute to pick up a point on the road.
Despite an onslaught of early shot attempts from Noeh Hernandez and Callum Watts, the Blue Demons conceded a goal midway through the first half falling behind 1-0 in the 21st minute.
DePaul (1-1-1) saw a handful of additional chances in the remainder of the first half, but couldn't capitalize.
The Blue Demons went into the intermission with a 7-3 advantage in shots while earning four corners and holding the Tommies to zero.
Subbed into the match in the 78th minute, Enriquez made an immediate impact - scoring from the right side of the frame to even the match at 1-1 with eight minutes remaining in the contest.
Both sides searched for the game-winner but to no avail as time expired before either team could find the back of the net once more.
