DePaul Welcomes Drake to Lincoln Park Monday in Home Opener

CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer opens up a four-match homestand on Monday, Sept. 2 when Drake visits Lincoln Park. First touch from Wish Field is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Demon Doings
- DePaul opens the home portion of its slate after going 1-1-1 in its firest three matches of the season.
- The Blue Demons are coming off a 1-1 draw at St. Thomas on Thursday afternoon. After allowing a Tommies goal midway through the first half and trailing for nearly 60 minutes, a goal from Nathaniel Enriquez equalized the match in the 82nd minute to earn DePaul a point.
- Enriquez notched the third goal of his career in a critical moment just four minutes after being subbed onto the pitch.
- Forwards Logan Finnegan and Keagan Pace lead the Blue Demons with four points apiece on the season. Finnegan netted a goal in the first two matches of the campaign while Pace posted a goal and two assists in the 2024 opener against UIC.
- Four Blue Demons own two points through three matches including Enriquez, sophomore midfielder Noeh Hernandez along with defenders Christian Baumgartner and George Wyatt.
- All six of DePaul's goals in 2024 have been assisted.
- September 2nd is the latest home opener for the Blue Demons since the 2016 season.
- The Bulldogs are 1-2 on the season and are coming off a 2-1 loss at Northwestern on Friday evening. Against the Wildcats, Drake led for 77 minutes before conceding a pair of goals in the final 12 minutes of play.
- Junior midfielder Damian Segura has deposited a goal in each of Drake's three matches this season while adding an assist in a 5-3 loss at Creighton.
- Drake was chosen eighth in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll after going 3-10-3 in 2023.
- Pat Flinn is in his second season leading the program in Des Moines.
- Monday's meeting will be the 22nd meeting between the two programs with the Bulldogs leading the all-time series, 17-7-2.
- DePaul has won the last three matchups and four of the last five in addition to going unbeaten in five of the last six affairs.
- The two sides last met in 2019, a 3-0 Blue Demons victory at Wish Field.
- The Blue Demons return to Wish Field on Sunday, Sept. 8 to host Wright State.
- Kick off is slated for 2 p.m. with live coverage on FloFC.
