DePaul seeks third consecutive win
CHICAGO- DePaul volleyball hosts three matches in Lincoln Park this week, opening their home stand with Colorado State on Thursday, September 12. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. CT, and the match can be streamed on Marquee Sports Network here.
"The weekend is going to be really special for the team and the program," said head coach Marie Zidek.
"I spent a lot of time in the offseason trying to find opponents that could help us showcase just how exciting the game of volleyball is, and also find opponents from distinctly different regions to pull a crowd from a wide base. Colorado State is a heck of a way to start. They were picked to win their league, and they bring the sort of physicality that will prepare us for the BIG EAST."
The Blue Demons will continue their weekend with the DePaul / UIC Invite, matching up against Brown on Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m. CT, and Bowling Green State University on Saturday, September 14 at 5 p.m. CT. Both matches can be streamed on FloVolleyball here.
"Brown comes to Chicago hungry to build since the Ivy League starts later than the other divisions. They will be hungry to bring their Chicago players home and have a great performance," said Zidek.
"Bowling Green comes in hot from years at the top of the MAC Conference. With our 50th season, it was important for me to celebrate our alumni and the strength of women's sports by showing that women can lead. All teams this weekend will be female led, with some of us mothers as well. This weekend provides competitive adversity that you thirst for as an athlete, and I'm excited to continue our journey of building this team"
