Nolan McGuire Claims BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo. native records a goal, an assist against then-No. 25 UConn
CHICAGO – DePaul's Nolan McGuire was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon following a standout performance against No. 25 UConn last week.

McGuire found himself involved in both Blue Demon goals in a 3-2 setback to the unbeaten Huskies on Friday, Sept. 20. The freshman notched the first goal of his collegiate career in the 11th minute to give DePaul an early advantage before finding Keagan Pace in the 68th minute to connect for the second goal of the afternoon.

The St. Louis, Mo., native has appeared in all seven matches in the 2024 campaign and has made four starts including the last four contests.

The Blue Demons return to the pitch on Tuesday, Sept. 24 for their penultimate non-conference matchup of the season against Loyola Chicago. First touch from Hoyne Field is set for 7 p.m. with coverage available on ESPN+.
