Noelle Malkamaki to Compete at 2024 Paris Paralympics

DePaul World Champion Represents Team USA
PARIS, France – DePaul track and field's Noelle Malkamaki is set to join Team USA at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, where she will compete in the Women's Shot Put F46 Final on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 4:47 a.m. CT. The Shot Put F46 Final features fourteen competitors from around the world and will be held at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France.

In addition to being a first-time Team USA Paralympian, Malkamaki is a two-time World Champion, a world record holder, the 2024 BIG EAST Woman of the Year Honoree, and the first Paralympian from DePaul University.
At the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials in Miramar, Fla., Malkamaki broke her own world record in the F46 Shot Put event with an impressive throw of 13.60m.
The track and field events at the Paralympic Games began on Aug. 30 and will run through Sept. 8.
Malkamaki is the first Blue Demon to compete in the Olympic/Paralympic Games since Tim Nedow represented Team Canada in 2020.
At the 2024 Paralympic Games, over 50% of U.S. track and field athletes have competed collegiately at 93 different schools (119 of 225 total athletes). Additionally, Team USA returns 100 medalists for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
