DePaul Welcomes Wright State to Wish Field Sunday

Blue Demons and Raiders kick off at 2 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer returns to the pitch on Sunday, Sept. 8 when Wright State visits Wish Field. First touch is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT with action streamed live on FloFC.

- DePaul (1-2-1) looks to jump back into the win column on Sunday after a 2-1 setback to Drake on Labor Day.
- Against the Bulldogs, sophomore forward Chase Stegall netted the first goal of his career on assists from Nathaniel Enriquez and Ryan Thomas.
- Six different Blue Demons have tallied at least one goal through four matches this season led by a pair from graduate forward Logan Finnegan.
- Finnegan alongside sophomore Keagan Pace own a team-best four points while Enriquez has three to his credit.
- The Blue Demons have assisted on all eight of their goals this season, ranking fourth among BIG EAST programs while holding a 14-11 edge over opponents in corner kicks earned.
- Sophomore midfielder Noeh Hernandez is in the midst of serving the Puerto Rican National Team for a pair of Concacaf Nations League matches.
- The Raiders are 2-2 on the season and are coming off a 4-2 loss at Loyola Chicago on Thursday evening.
- WSU picked up wins over Lindenwood and Saint Francis, while playing four of their first five matches on the road.
- Through four matches in 2024, the Raiders have found the back of the net at least twice in each outing, averaging nearly three goals a match.
- Sophomore midfielder Edwin Esipinal-Elvir owns a team-best three goals this season while Cole Werthmuller and Felix Ezekwuka have each scored twice.
- Wright State, led by second-year head coach Alex Van der Sluijs, was picked to finish ninth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll.
- Sunday's meeting will be the fourth all-time between the two programs, and first since the 2004 season.
- The Raiders lead the series 3-0-0 dating back to the first meeting in 1987.
- Both sides meet in Chicago for the second time in the series.
