Elena Milam Selected as BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

Milam selected for third career weekly honor
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer graduate goalkeeper Elena Milam was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, Monday afternoon. This recognition marks Milam's first weekly award of the year and the third of her career.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, Milam recorded her sixth career shutout in a 1-0 DePaul victory over UIC, adding five saves to her season total of 21. Milam currently ranks second in the BIG EAST Conference with 21 saves, averaging 3.5 per game.
Milam has played all but ten minutes this season for the Blue Demons, recording a season-high seven saves in DePaul's season opener against NIU.
The Seattle, Wash. native led the BIG EAST in 2023 with 90 saves and 5.29 saves per game, finishing with a .811 save percentage.

The Blue Demons return to Lincoln Park for a weekend homestand featuring Lindenwood on Thursday, Sept. 12, and Western Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT and 1 p.m. CT, respectively, with coverage for both matches on FloSports.
