Hopf, Hudak Break School Records at Wisconsin Invite

Blue Demons conclude Wisconsin Midwest Invite at Gately Park
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field concluded the Wisconsin Midwest Invite on Saturday night with a strong performance, highlighted by two school records and eight top-three finishes across all track and field events.
In the women's field events, Jaiah Hopf delivered a historic performance in the triple jump, setting a new DePaul school record with a winning mark of 12.75m. Eveline Reno secured third place in the same event with a distance of 11.91m. In the women's weight throw, Kash Allen finished fifth with a throw of 15.22m. Allen also claimed third place in the women's shot put with a mark of 14.82m, while Laila Richardson achieved a personal record in the event with a distance of 11.16m.
In the men's field events, Jaiden Gary recorded personal records in both the men's weight throw (15.21m) and shot put (18.58m), finishing third and fourth, respectively. Patrick Diakite also impressed with a fourth-place finish in the men's high jump, clearing 1.85m.
On the track, the women's team earned strong results. Meghan Dieball took first place in the 1000m with a time of 2:52.96, while Isabella Orozco followed in fifth place at 2:55.23. In the 600m, Lauren Pacsi and Amelia Montgomery finished fourth (1:37.35) and fifth (1:39.16), respectively. In the 300m, Alyssa Leak set a personal record, running a 42.02, while Kayliah Motes finished fifth with a time of 40.46. The women's 4x400m relay team of Pacsi, Orozco, Montgomery, and Leak ended the day with a first-place finish, running a time of 4:00.42.
The men's team also shined on the track. John Bush earned gold in the 1000m with a time of 2:24.99. Dustin Hudak delivered an incredible performance in the 600m, breaking the DePaul school record with a first-place time of 1:19.18. Harper Bryan set a personal record in the 300m Dash with a time of 36.27, securing ninth place. The men's 4x400m relay team of Hudak, Bush, Larkin, and Bryan capped the meet with a second-place finish, recording a time of 3:27.15.
