Blue Demons prepare for second meet of 2025
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – DePaul track and field continues its winter indoor slate with the Pat Heenan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18, in Naperville, Ill. Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium will serve as the venue, with events beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT.
Twenty DePaul student-athletes will compete across 13 events at North Central College, looking to sustain their momentum as the indoor season progresses.
DePaul enters the meet riding high after an impressive performance at the Wisconsin Midwest Invite last weekend. Jaiah Hopf made her mark by breaking the DePaul school record in the women's triple jump with a distance of 12.75m, while Dustin Hudak shattered the men's 600m school record with a winning time of 1:19.18.
Overall, the Blue Demons earned eight top-three finishes, including golds from Meghan Dieball in the women's 1000m and John Bush in the men's 1000m, highlighting the team's strength across various events.
