Blue Demons Visit South Bend for Notre Dame Invite

Track and field returns to Loftus Sports Center
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – DePaul track and field continues its winter indoor season at the Notre Dame Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25, in South Bend, Ind. The Loftus Sports Center will host the meet, with events beginning at 11 a.m. CT.
Thirty-four DePaul student-athletes will compete across 13 events, aiming to build on their strong performance at last weekend's Pat Heenan Invitational.
At the Pat Heenan Invitational, Alex Bernstein captured first place in the men's weight throw with a season-best mark of 20.57m, while Jaiden Gary secured first place in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.18m. In women's field events, Kash Allen claimed victory in the shot put with a mark of 13.88m. Eveline Reno delivered standout performances, finishing first in the triple jump (11.35m) and tying for first in the high jump (1.62m).
Following these efforts, Jaiah Hopf and Jaiden Gary earned BIG EAST weekly honors. Hopf was named BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week after breaking her own school record in the triple jump earlier this season, while Gary earned BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week recognition for his strong performances in the weight throw and shot put.
