DePaul and Seton Hall Tangle in the South Loop Saturday

CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball will celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day and Alumni Day on Saturday afternoon when it hosts Seton Hall at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. with the action broadcast live on FloCollege.

DePaul is 11-12 this season and 6-4 in the BIG EAST after falling to sixth-ranked UConn on Wednesday evening in front of a record crowd of 8,305 at Wintrust Arena. Against the Huskies, Jorie Allen and Taylor Johnson-Matthews both finished with 19 points apiece to lead the Blue Demons. As a team, DePaul posted a season-high seven blocks against its fifth ranked opponent of the season.

Seton Hall is 15-5 overall and 7-2 in league play to rank third in the conference standings. Graduate forward Faith Masonius has been a catalyst for Seton Hall's success this season with an average of 16.6 points and 5.1 rebounds, both team bests. Head coach Tony Bozzella is in his 12th season leading his alma mater.

DePaul leads the all-time series 25-9 over Seton Hall including a 12-5 mark in games played in Chicago. Last season, the teams met just once in the regular season in which the Pirates earned a 91-78 win in South Orange. Seton Hall claimed a seven-point victory against the Blue Demons in the first round of the 2024 BIG EAST Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena.
