DePaul Hosts No. 18/24 Georgetown on Alumni Day

Blue Demons and Hoyas kickoff tripleheader in Lincoln Park at 12 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer returns home after a two-match road swing to host No. 18/24 Georgetown on Saturday, Oct. 18. First touch from Wish Field is set for 12 p.m. with coverage available on ESPN+. The Blue Demons are set to welcome former letterwinners back to Lincoln Park for the program's annual Alumni Day.

Demon Doings
The Blue Demons are in search of a BIG EAST breakthrough after a heartbreaking 3-2 setback at Akron last weekend as the Zips scored in the final 90 seconds. At 2-5-6 on the season and 0-3-1 in BIG EAST play, DePaul remains persistent in pursuit of points with four weeks of the regular season remaining.

Redshirt-sophomore Joon Han has seen success as of late, scoring back-to-back matches for the Blue Demons while sophomore forward Daniel Hickiewicz netted the first goal of his career versus Akron last Saturday. Jayden Waski has four assists on the season with goal contribution to a quarter of the squad's goals this season. Seven different Blue Demons have at least one assist on the season.

In the national rankings, DePaul is 15th nationally in average shots with 16.15 per game and have outmatched opponents in shots in 10 of 12 matches this season. The Blue Demons are 13th in corner kicks per game at 6.69.

Scouting Georgetown
The Hoyas are 7-3-3 on the season and an unbeaten 3-0-1 in league matches to sit atop the East Division after a 4-1 victory over UConn last weekend. Senior Zach Zengue has 29 points on the season to lead the Hoyas behind 12 goals and five assists for a goal tally that ranks third in the nation. Senior goalkeeper Tenzing Manske has six shutouts to his credit and owns a 0.85 goals against-average. Brian Wiese is in his 20th season leading the Hoyas.

Saturday's match will be the 17th meeting between DePaul and Georgetown. The Hoyas lead the all-time series 11-1-4 with the two sides playing to a draw in two of the last four matchups.
