CHICAGO – DePaul softball head coach Liz Bouck-Jagielski announced the 2026 spring schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Demons are set to play 14 games at Cacciatore Stadium. The full 52-game slate can be viewed here. Start times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
DePaul will open the season hosting the DePaul Dome Tournament Feb. 6-8 in Rosemont, Ill. The Dome at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex will host Detroit Mercy, Drake, Green Bay, Oakland, Western Illinois and Valparaiso for the three-day event.
The 2026 squad is set to hit the road for three-consecutive weekends across February and March with trips to USF, Jacksonville State and Jacksonville for 15 games against 10 different opponents in the span.
The Blue Demons will open BIG EAST play with back-to-back weekends at Cacciatore Stadium as Villanova visits Lincoln Park March 6-8 before Georgetown comes to town March 13-15. DePaul will make the short trip to Valparaiso for a midweek matchup March 17 before hitting the road for the first of three East Coast road swings March 20-22 at Providence.
In the first game of a home-and-home agreement with UIC, DePaul returns to the Windy City to host the Flames March 24 and is set to travel crosstown for a return April 15.
The month of March wraps up with a trip to Storrs, Conn. to take on reigning BIG EAST Champions UConn, March 27-29.
The Red Line Rivalry will be renewed April 1 as DePaul visits Loyola Chicago before turning around to host St. John's April 3-4. Midweek matchups at Northwestern (April 7) and UIC (April 15) will carry the Blue Demons to mid April before traveling to South Orange, N.J. and Seton Hall April 17-19.
The Cacciatore Stadium schedule concludes the week of April 20 with a visit from Illinois State April 21 and conference foe Butler April 24-26. In its last non-conference test of the season, DePaul travels to Notre Dame April 28.
DePaul concludes the regular season with a three-game set at Creighton May 1-3.
The 2026 BIG EAST Tournament returns to The Ballpark at Rosemont May 6-9 with DePaul serving as host. The top four teams in the conference will battle it out in the double-elimination tournament vying for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Bouck-Jagielski and her staff return 15 letterwinners from a season ago while welcoming seven freshmen and a pair of sophomore transfers to the program in the fall.
All regular season softball games at Cacciatore Stadium will offer free admission for the second-straight year. This initiative aims to make DePaul Athletics' events more accessible to students, faculty, staff, and residents, fostering a stronger connection between the university and the surrounding Lincoln Park community. By offering free entry to all home games, DePaul softball hopes to promote school spirit, support for student-athletes, and a fun, inclusive atmosphere for everyone in the Lincoln Park community to enjoy.
DePaul's annual Dome Tournament in addition to the 2026 BIG EAST Tournament will remain ticketed events. On sale dates will be announced at a later date.
